WHAT’S WRONG WITH YOUR CAR?

There are some signs that can suggest your car needs further assistance. Peruse these questions if you suspect something is wrong but you’re not sure how to address some issues. You can also learn how we can step in and help.
Our Work Is Transparent and Honest
  • WHY DO WE SERVICE OUR TRANSMISSION?

We service transmissions because prevention is better than a cure. For example, keeping fresh oil up to transmission will keep seals and O-rings supple. Allow our mechanics to inspect the internal condition of the transmission at the time of service. If you let a mechanic perform the proper adjustments, you can reduce abnormal wear to your car’s transmission and save yourself some money later.

  • HOW CAN I KEEP MY TRANSMISSION COOL?

You can keep your transmission at the proper temperature by fitting an external transmission cooler running in series with an original factory heat exchanger. This keeps the transmission at an optimum operating temperature under extreme loads.

  • WHY AM I HEARING STRANGE NOISES?

If there is a strange noise coming from your engine, now is the time to have a technician expect before a catastrophic event.

  • I THINK MY TRANSMISSION HAS A SHUDDER?

It is possible that the torque converter has a problem. A simple change of oil may fix the problem. If your transmission is still shuttering, it means you could have a mechanical problem with a torque converter or a solenoid.

  • WHAT DOES THE “CHECK ENGINE” LIGHT MEAN?

There's a number of electronic devices in the transmission (e.g. switches, sensors) that can cause the check engine light to come on from electronically shorting or poor grounding. This warning means that your vehicle needs to be electronically diagnosed as soon as possible.

  • WHY IS THE OIL LEAKING?

Leaking oil is serious. If your vehicle is running low on oil, the lack of oil can cause damage to the transmission. When there's an oil leak, the vehicle must be inspected by a mechanic.

What should I do if my car has no power or feels like the transmission is slipping?

  • SHOULD I LEAVE MY TRANSMISSION IN OVERDRIVE?

We would recommend that you do not leave the transmission in overdrive whilst towing. Otherwise, you can leave your transmission in overdrive without any problems.

  • WHAT SHOULD I DO IF MY CAR HAS NO POWER OR FEELS LIKE THE TRANSMISSION IS SLIPPING?

Check fluid levels to ensure they are correct. As most vehicles have no dipstick, it will require you to bring it into a shop, as we will require to inspect oil level on a hoist, by lifting the car up.

  • CAN I BRING MY CAR TO YOU FOR NEW CAR SERVICING?

There is no law stating that your car has to be taken to a dealership for servicing. As long as a qualified mechanic using recommended parts and oil completes the job.

  • IS MY CAR PROTECTED WHILE AT YOUR SHOP?

Your vehicle is comprehensively covered while at our premises.
